CEOs of all the hill districts must pull up their sleeves

I would like to express my views with much concern over the ongoing District Council problems. Many have written and questioned the Govt regarding the administrative functions of the Hills Districts Council of Manipur, but till now there are no responses from the popular SPF Government led by MPCC-I. With umpteen question in hands since 20 years the tribal people of Manipur have been suffering more than it can tolerate.

As of now we have seen the powerless members sitting like a log of wood abandoned and unused. If it is so, why conduct the election? It would have been better if the SPF Govt make more conscious step before they start the move there are many neighbouring status of ours who have ADCs with empowerment of its constituent functions to facilitate the public grievances. But the hill people so to say the Tribals of Manipur have not seen such thing. It will be better to leave aside the political war that you have been thinking of your rivalry and to think of the citizens, the citizens are the victims who can not express and speak, whereas the politicians are enjoying their self centred game of politics.

In the midst of these political disturbances to the tribals of Manipur, I would like to appreciate and honour the respected Ukhrul ADC CEO, Ningam Chamroy for completing the MGEL list and by putting the best effort for the teachers and employees of Ukhrul ADC, and fulfilling their pending pay/salaries. Like wise I would like to request the CEOs of all the Hill Districts to give more efforts on top of what they have been doing and do the needful for its employees even though the Chairmen and Members cannot (are not working) give their valuable time for their employees due to political egoism of the State affairs.

Yes, it is a very pertinent question to ask the honourable Chief Minister of Manipur—why he is so powerful? Why he is not looking after the Tribal Communities in this present situation? Give more time for the helpless and save the integrity of Manipur by fulfilling what we called “Chingtam Amatani”.

Yours faithfully,
SP Sohiampou, Tamenglong H/Q. W/No.1.
