CBI seeks info

IMPHAL, Mar 12: An award of Rs five lakh has been announced to anybody who can provide information that could lead to the arrest of an accused person in the murder case of Prof md Islamuddin, who was gunned down on May 25, 2009 inside the Manipur University campus.
A CBI release identified the accused person as one W Jayanta Singh alias Dilip alias Lakpa alias Ingobi s/o W Jille Singh of Wangoi Laiphrakpam Mayai Leikai, Imphal West district.
The 40-year old jayanata has been declared as wan-ted person by the CBI in connection with Case No RC 7(S) 2009-SC III New Delhi, related to the murder of the Professor, the release informed while adding that the information could be passed to the Superintendent of Police, Central bu- reau of Investigation, Lam-phelpat in person or through telephone Nos. 0385-2424673/2414145.
