CRPF Goodwill football match
IMPHAL, Jul 28: CRPF outlasted Sagolband United Club 2-1 with CT Santosh Kumar scoring the matchwinner in extra-time of a football match organised by Group Centre CRPf, Langjing as a goodwill gesture on its raising day on July 27.
A release issued by DIG GC (CRPF) PS Rajora said both team exhibited excellent skills and put a spirited fight in the closely contested match.
Ingocha fired home the Sagolband UC opener which was neutralised by CT KG Kom in the last quarter of the match before Santosh sealed the match in the dying moments of the game.
The DIG gave away prizes to both the teams and match officials.
The raising day celebrations continued in the evening with a colourful cultural function and a ‘barakhana’ in the campus, the release added.
Governor’s Cup
IMPHAL, Jul 28: The 6th Governor’s Cup State Fencing Championship 2010 in various categories will be held from August 10 to 14 at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium for which submission of entry forms would be entertained upto august 6, a Manipur Fencing Association release said.
