CM struggles to juggle progs

IMPHAL, Jun 27: With several programmes lined up every day, Chief Minister N Biren has been having a hard time trying to attend each and every programme.
The number of programmes lined up each day multiplied many fold since the last couple of days as the Government started inaugurating/commissioning projects/schemes taken up with the 100 days’ programme.
Today too, the Chief Minister attended four different programmes which was followed by a Cabinet meeting in the evening.
It is reported that the Cabinet meeting discussed about certain agenda which would figure in the forthcoming monsoon session of the State Assembly.
With the Chief Minister literally juggling his many schedules of the day, he arrived two hours late at a function held at Panchayat Bhavan, Porompat under the aegis of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department.
Even though the programme was scheduled to begin at 3 pm, he arrived only at around 5 pm.
As the programme would be attended by the Chief Minister, stringent security measures were put in place at Porompat.
RD&PR Minister Th Biswajit, Parliamentary Secretaries H Dingo, S Subashchandra, N Susindro and other officials who arrived at the venue before the Chief Minister had to wait for the Chief Minister for a considerable length of time.
Soon after his arrival, N Biren apologised to the gathering for arriving late. He stated that he was late because he was attending several programmes one after another.
