There were 52 questions from Modern Indian History (48 from India's Freedom Struggle) out of a total of 200 questions and not a single question related to the history of Manipur in the MPSC Prelims 2010 held on 9/11. But, Manipur was not a part of India until 1949. Therefore , the officers who are going to run the future of Manipur need not know anything about Manipur. Does it sound LOGICAL?
Our Reply :
Hell Premchandra,
Hope the MPSC guys digest this.

Breakfast Chat Topic Blockades in NH 39 and 53 make inconveniences to the people of Manipur, still it gives a light to people to see the ways to traverse whenever such an Eclipse strikes to the days to come. Plz. don't worry my dear Manipuris, bear the burden for some more time to ripe the fruits. It's my earnest request to all. Otherwise there is an old saying to follow: what cannot be cured must be endured. Choice is yours,my dear all. Regards, S Jeken Singh

Dear Sir, When there is complaint regarding exact copying of the 24 questions out of 25 questions uploaded in the website http://cbseadda.blogspot.com/2011/05/cbse-science-quize.html which was published in May, 2011 and so many doubtful complaints regarding standard of questions and transparency of preliminary exam conducted on 11th September, 2011, MPSC has declared the result on 24th September, 2011 in such a hurry to avoid any further allegation and complaints without following the formalities of the recruitment rule as in the case of UPSC. In case of Civil Service Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission, in the preliminary examination; number of candidates selected for the main exam is usually 12 to 13 times the number of vacancies. But in case of Manipur Public Service Commission’s civil services preliminary examination 2010, since number of candidates selected for main exam is only 725, the number of candidates selected for the main exam is only around 5 times the number of vacancies which is really controversial and needs clarification. As per the MPSC advertisement, total number of vacancy was 138. If we go by rule as in the case of UPSC Prelim Exam or other States Service Commission or other exam conducted by SSC etc, at least 1380 candidates should be recommended for main exam taking the least recommended and approved ratio of 1:10 i.e, 10 times the number of vacancies. One more thing that MPSC has also forgotten while declaring the result of prelim exam is that last time MPSC conducted that exam was in the year 2005-06 and MPSC also totally cancelled the MCSCC (P), 2008 after conducting the prelim exam without giving any reason thereof. So, the result of MPSC Prelim exam, 2010 will surely dishearten so many aspirants who have been waiting for the exam for a long period of time. Finally, considering the circumstances, the result of MPSC Prelim exam, 2010 may be kindly declared null or void or declared the result afresh after observing all the formalities or declared an additional and proportional list of candidates for main exam. Views and kind favourable intervention from the concerned authority(s) and general masses is invited.

sir, in times of crisis, its the duty of govt and public to utilize the resources present.during crucial times, many commodities are sold at high price.thorough checks should be done at go-down and shops.public awareness should be created in newspaper, radio,tv,locality, community and institutions for proper distribution of resources.its sad to see only some portion of the people getting the benefits.what about the others?in this times of hardship;when people are sufferings;when helps is needed most;when we needs each other helps;our elected representative, where are you?why are we acting like this? like barbarian...its right time now,we come together as one to tender each needs.lets act and live like human being, its not 12 century. note:sir,it would be better if posted in the daily newspapers to let the unheard-see and the concern body acts wisely. your fellowman, bonny serto

Dear Sir, This is just a suggestion. Let there be some experts on conflict management personals who can contribute something about the ideal way for co-existence amongst different communities of Manipur. Regards Shilshi
Our Reply :
Hello Shilshi,
Appreciate your suggestions. While experts' contributions may help, what is more important is the willingness of the people to live in a state of co-existence. The question is whether we as a people are ready to live together or not.
