Manipur claim 5 medals at National Cadet Taekwondo C’ship

IMPHAL, Feb 7 : Manipur taekwondo team have collected 5 medals so far in the 4th National Cadet Kyurogi and 4th National Cadet Poomsae Championship 2019 which is underway in JN Indoor Stadium, Chennai, Tamil Nadu under the aegis of Taekwondo Federation of India since February 5.
The State team gathered one gold and two bronze medals on the third day to make it 2 gold and 3 bronze medals in the tally.
Kangujam Milan Singh laid his hand on the gold medal in the above 65 kg boys’s kyurogi event a day after Priyadarshini won the first gold medal for the State in the girls’ 44 kg kyurogi event. Laishram Bablu Meitei who took part in the 59 kg Kyurogi event added one bronze medal in State’s tally today while the other bronze medal was claimed by Lanchenbi Chirom in the 44 kg girls kyurogi competition. Jackson Yensembam claimed the first bronze medal of the State in the 49 kg boys’ kyurogi event yesterday.
