School aps launched

IMPHAL, Feb 8: For the first time in Manipur, an application meant to improve the communication gap between parents and teachers in the functioning of a school, was launched today, for Green Tree Academy, Makhan, Kanglatongbi.
The said app is named after the school and is available in Google Playstore.
Speaking at the android app launching event, the Principal of the school, Disubou Wijunamai, said that education is not only about the school, but also involves the parents and guardians of the students.
He said that it is always for the better when education is dealt from both the home and school and for this specific criteria, the application was created using modern technology.
The Principal also said that the earlier form of communication through Whatsapp and SMS will still be used simultaneously with the new android app.
The school android application was created by Xvar Solutions, which is based in Tarung, Imphal.
The proprietor and co-creator of Xvar Solutions, Gaisin Pamei, said that the application will allow the parents to track the academic activities and performances of their children.
Notice board, exam routines, photo gallery of various activities, attendance reports, progress reports and syllabus are some of information which can be viewed through the app.
The Parents can access the said information with the help of a user ID and a password given by the school, he said.
Xvar Solutions has created many other school apps, but this is the first app of its kind for Manipur, he added.
Livingstone Zweenamai, co-creator of the app also explained the technical uses of the app.
It enables easy access, is user friendly and consumes only 2 MB, he said.
He also explained that it is like any other social media application but with better structure.
The school, Green Tree Academy, was established in July 2014 and started its academic sessions in 2015, with classes from pre-nursery to Class 8.
