State BJP chief seeks two years’ time

IMPHAL, Oct 5: Saying that it has been six/seven months since the BJP-led coalition Government was sworn in, Rajya Sabha MP and BJP Manipur Pradesh president K Bhabananda has appealed to all the people to wait for just two years and see how much changes the incumbent Government can bring in the State.
He was speaking at the inaugural function of a BJP office at the residence of one Oinam Bira at Thangmeiband Lairenhanjaba Leikai today.
Magnanimity of BJP cannot be compared with other political parties. Prime Minister Narendra assured the State Government that there would be no paucity of fund for development of Manipur.
The Prime Minister has also advised the State Government to work with sincerity and dedication.
Saying that he had met many Union Ministers and all of them advised him and the State Government not to harbour any reservation regarding development of Manipur, Bhabananda appealed to the people to wait and watch how Manipur changes dramatically in the direction of development.
Although the Government headed by Chief Minister N Biren is just six months old, the nagging fear of bifurcation of Manipur into hill areas and valley areas has been effectively removed and this is one momentous achievement of the BJP-led Government, Bhabananda remarked.
The State can now march forward with a vision to bring hill-valley unity and uniform development across the State.
BJP is now in power in majority of the Indian States but the Prime Minister and the party president are not satisfied with it. They wish that BJP is at the helm of affairs in all the States. BJP has chalked out different policies to strengthen sense of Nationalism across the country. To protect the sovereignty and integrity of India is the basic ideology of BJP.
The party’s Central leaders firmly believe that abolition/suppression of poverty, terrorism, casteism, communalism and corruption can bring rapid and unprecedented development in the country, Bhabananda said.
BJP State unit vice-president Jyotin Waikhom said that RSS never controls the BJP Government.
BJP is one party dedicated to empowerment of underprivileged sections and poverty alleviation, Jyotin Waikhom said.
