Night plaza can help in improving healthy family life : Shyamkumar

IMPHAL, Sep 24 (DIPR):With a view to give recreational space to the citizens of Manipur as well as tourists, the State Government will launch a ‘Night Plaza’ along the Kangla moat (eastern half of NH-2 from Raj Bhavan turning to PWD turning) starting from October 2, MAHUD and Town Planning Minister Thounaojam Shyamkumar said today. He opined that the opening of ‘Night Plaza’, upholding the traditional and cultural values of the society, will help in improving a healthy family life in Imphal city.

Mom braves on despite birth of child with SCT

KANGPOKPI, Sep 23 : Forty eight years old Chongpi, wife of Mulmu (49), of T Lhangnomphai village located about 2 kms from Moreh in Tengnoupal district is poor but more than poverty it is the pain of seeing her child, who was born with Sacrococcygeal Teratoma Type-I on September 3 this year, that is slowly eating into her existence.
But she carries on bravely, a courage that has come from the selfless love of her child.

Illegal migrants stopped at Jiri

IMPHAL, Sep 21 :Three persons were stopped while trying to enter Manipur via Jiribam district on Thursday, a senior police officer said, adding that 800 suspected foreigners have been stopped in their bid to enter the State, from this district alone, since January this year.
