IMPHAL, Dec 15 : The 3rd State Level Junior Volleyball Tournament organised by Social Welfare Educational and Cultural Association (SWE-CA) under the aegis of All Manipur Volleyball Asso-ciation kicked off today at Thiyam Konjin High School playground. The tournament is organised in memory of Late Konthoujam Ranjit and members of SWECA. Altogether 8 teams divided into 2 groups are taking part in the tournament.

Imphal, Dec 14: The Manipur junior volleyball team that will take part in the 44th Junior National Volleyball Championship 2017 has been announced today. The cham-pionship, which is organised by the Volleyball Federation of India, is scheduled to be held at Burdwan, West Bengal.

IMPHAL, Sep 26: 7th MR defeated 5th IRB in straight sets 25-18, 25-15 in the police volleyball tournament at MPTC, Pangei in connection with 125th Police Raising Day today.
In another match, SP- Chandel defeated SP- Telecom by 14-25, 25-18, 15-12 points.
In the second match of the day, 7th MR defeated SP-Ukhrul in straight sets 25-18, 25-18.

Imphal, Sep 24: Assam Rifles in association with Youth Club Haochong, organised a friendly volleyball match on September 23 at Assam Rifles Camp located at Haochong Village, Tamenglong District. An interaction session with the villagers was also held after the volleyball match.
The event was organised to foster the relation between the Assam Rifles and the villagers. Post Commander of the camp briefed and motivated the youth of the village to improve their physical fitness and join Indian Army or Security Forces, said a statement issued by PIB (Defence Wing)

Imphal Sep 21: One Day Youth Vollyeball Tournament was organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra and Nguhi Youth Club with assistance of Awang Kasom Post of 27 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) today at Awang Kasom. The tournament was participated by teams from eight villages of Chingai Block, Ukhrul district.
The youth leaders of Chingai Block also expressed their desire to participate in such initiatives that guide the youth of the region in right direction. They also pledged to ensure an environment of peace and development in the region, according to a statement issued by the PRO of IGAR (S).

Inter Village Friendship Volleyball Competition held

Imphal, Sep 11: 18 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles held an Inter Village Friendship Volleyball Competition under the aegis of HQs IGAR (South) on September 8 at COB Larong, Chandel, in continuation of its effort to help local populace and bridge the gap with security forces.
The competition was participated by youth from four villages of the region, Libong, Larong Khunou, Larong Khullen and Charlong. Pamphlets were also distributed to the local youths who were motivated to take part in the recruitment rally to be held at Leimakhong from October 3 to 10, 2017.

AR organises volleyball tourney, Silent village win

Imphal, Aug 30: The 45 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a volleyball tournament at Moirangpen (Soplen) village in Imphal East from 19 to 29 Aug 2017.
The tournament featured six teams from Nongren, Moirangpen, Leikoching, Silent, Happy Land and New Salem. The teams from Silent and Moirangpen villages played in the final in which Silent emerged as victorious on Aug 29. The match attracted a huge audience. At the end of the tournament, the Commandant, 45 Assam Rifles, felicitated the winners and runners up team with trophies, medals and cash awards.
