IMPHAL, Nov 29 :Planning Commission Member BK Chaturvedi has assured that Manipur’s SPA share of Rs 168 crore and another Rs 800 crore for SCA would be released soon.
Chaturvedi was speaking at a review meeting of plan expenditures of the Northeastern States at Guwahati today.
During the meeting, Chief Secretary DS Poonia gave a detailed presentation about plan expenditure in Manipur.
He also sought attention of the Planning Commission to expedite works on upgrading Tulihal Airport, construction of Integrated Check Post at Moreh and construction of NIT at Imphal.
The Planning Commission Member reportedly assured that the Finance Ministry would be asked to release Manipur’s share of SPA and SCA funds, conveyed a source.
