The stars over you
Think about not knowing a thing about the person you were just introduced to, who would be assisting you in the most important project you ever did in your life. Then think about knowing a thing or two and finding strength in that. This is what I tell friends who don’t bet their money on sun signs or zodiac.
“How can billions of people be divided into just twelve sun signs and their differences be overridden to suggest they all have same characters?” asked my new acquaintance. He went ahead to lament, “Every individual is unique and has no resemblance to others except to the family.” I nearly bought his idea but stopped myself short from getting swayed this early on. In all these years of my observation and experience of understanding others around me with the help of their sun signs surely would have to stand ground!
He explained, “You cannot come to know things about a person that soon. It takes forever. And if you do have information that quick I would like to challenge how true it holds.” He was clearly dependent on only his interaction with people, to know them better as people.
I thought to myself how strange it was that almost all my close friends were Virgos, and I shared a deep understanding with Geminis, mutual adoration with Pisces, long one-sided discussions with Sagittarius, conflict with all Cancerians, intellectual engagement with Aquarians, respect for Leos and distrust with Scorpios. I never planned these relationships, personal or professional, but when I found out sun signs of these people in my life, I discovered the pattern that seems to just live on. So now I have stopped fretting about it and just sit back and enjoy seeing it take shape, naturally, un- engineered. Try this exercise and be stunned to find certain people around you, almost like a pattern and you will perhaps know what I am trying to say. The most beautiful thing about possessing this awareness is that it doesn’t hurt you in any way. It could prove to benefit you if you take it in the right light, and make concessions for those around you, equipped with understanding of their characters.
I find the Taurian male and female the most amusing of the lot. What will sweep you off your feet is that this person has got his/her feet firmly on the ground. They are plain modest, you will not believe the level to which they can downplay their own achievements and laurels. In their friend circle they exhibit the funny bone they hide from the rest of the world. They are mostly good entertainers in their circle. Well behaved, at least the first time you meet them, they usually are very patient and caring but sooner or later you will receive a taste of their blunt dealings. Don’t expect a sugar –coated person, in fact gear up for many fights. They can argue on anything without any objective in mind which is senseless, but it’s all worth it because this person will stand by you when you need them the most. Dependable is the word. The second is rigid!
There is one person I am scared out of my socks to cross paths with, that is, the Aries male! These guys are no push overs, don’t even think about bossing around with them. Speaking your mind around them is the biggest mistake you will ever make. They need unconditional support initially but once you win his trust this person can go through hell and back for you. Demanding, egoistic, never insult him or show disrespect in public. Though he may fight the most with you, and you wonder why do you even try putting up with that kind of behavior, at the end you will be surprised to find that this guy can be the most loyal friend who can face even danger for you.
I once travelled two hours catching three connecting local buses, all within the city, to go collect a parcel that had arrived from Toronto for me and was now with a respectable middle- aged Chinese woman who owned her own saloon and spa. On finally landing on her door step, I was greeted by a petite, pretty, slender framed, very friendly, funny and spirited person who embraced me and made me feel all warm inside. “I have a gift for you from your old friend in Canada. She wants you to know that she loves you.” This warm person was part of my gift, I thought happily to myself. In her saloon we talked happily about irrelevant things. She shared the funny things in her life, and even her hardships were told in a fashion that amused me and inspired me to see that none of it had taken a toll on her lively spirit. She fed me amazing Chinese food and treated me with a fruit facial in her saloon all the while talking of oh-so-many-interesting-things. I was under her spell. I thought to myself she could be a Gemini. This much of sunshine in a person radiates most effortlessly from a Gemini girl. And Cara is, as per my thoughts, a true June born. June born possess the ultimate communication skills, if only they are not distracted with the million of things happening around them. They also give the best gifts and in the best way!
While I acknowledge how each individual is unique , it’s also true, sun signs help in knowing few things before you strike up a friendship or have known each other for years. There is this indecisive Libran who would indulge in never-ending dissection of the pros and cons and delay decision making and would love you, if you make it for him! And then there are Aquarius friends who would not sleep a wink and watch your temperature, get you your medicines with a glass of water but freeze when you hug them for it! The ever cribbing but brilliant Cancerian works hard and hides all his/her pain under the garb of humor. The Piscean who will forgive you umpteenth times and still find something good in you, the Sagittarius whose dreams are all scattered but not his blunt honesty, the clean-orderly-prim-and-proper Capricorn girl who doesn’t speak much but her friendship is in allowing you to be who you are, faults and all. There are the Leos who never hit under the belt, also because they have enough courage to give it on your face and their sense of justice is like a king of the jungle.
As I tide through life, and as a journalist meet myriads of people my knowledge of the sun signs is benefitting me in a way that is productive and up building. Most of all it doesn’t hurt to know a thing or two about the next person. It makes sense to me to take sun signs as mere statistics where a large sample of people are divided into twelve groups, each group studied to arrive at some common characteristics, and projected as the traits of that zodiac.
The Aries in me has all the faith required to believe that what I believe in, is the truth.

Sun Signs used to be very interesting when I was young. In fact I bought a book and read it with interest in my teenagedays. And why, you know? because girls used to ask what is your sun sign. The craze was there with all youngsters. But over time, it became passe for me. Having said this, I agree to the point that it is useful to roughly see people/friends etc according to their sun sign and maybe, easier to know the basic nature of the person through his zodiac. I recommend the book of Manwatching, which is a lot psychological. and behavioural.

Astrology is not much colorable , because it doesn't beacon the forthcoming in much way, nor the prophesies who turns quite ironies with the outcomes. However, it can't be all irredeemable, because sometimes it work out in quite remarkable ways.May be it does happen in mysterious way,or perhaps its just a game of chances.
