Turn out percent now stands at 82

IMPHAL, Apr 12: Even though the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency election was conducted yesterday, the polling parties of 13 Polling Stations of Churachandpur and 6 Polling Stations of Tamenglong, have not yet reached the respective District HQs even today. According to an official source, the polling parties might reach the DHQs either late tonight or early tomorrow morning and the voter turnout in yesterday’s vote has reached 82 percent and the figure may rise.
The source further mentioned that repoll might be held for two Poi Polling Stations of Chingai A/C where EVMs and VVPAT machines were destroyed yesterday, as well as 3 Polling Stations each of Churachandpur and Senapati.
The scrutiny for the said Polling Stations will be held on April 14 and the ECI will fix the date of the repoll, the source added.
