XIIth Jadonang Memorial Football concludes with DFC lifting the title trophy

Duigaipangjang FC (DFC) emerged champions of the XII Jadonang Memorial Football Trophy beating Ragailong Youth Club (RYC) 1-0 thanks to an early goal by AB Mairilungbou at Main Stadium Khuman Lampak.
The closing ceremony cum final match of the XIIth Jadonang Memorial Football Tournament 2018 organized by the Zeliangrong Football Association (ZFA) was attended by Th Biswajit Singh, Minister (Works) as chief guest; Khashim Vashum, MLA Chingai AC; Namsinrei Panmei, Chairman ADC Tamenglong; Dr Kh Loken Singh, former Minister; Jyotin Waikhom, vice-president, BJP Manipur Pradesh and Arunkumar Thangjam, president NEROCA & Proprietor AE Chingmeirong attended the function as guests of honour and Gaikhangam, former Deputy CM presided over the function.
Dipu Gangmei, CEO, ADC Tamenglong, chairman of the organizing committee of the XIIth Jadonang Memorial Football Tournament 2018 and Gaipuijai Golmei, president ZFA were also present during the function.
Champions DFC were feted with Rs 1,00,000 and the trophy while runners up RYC got Rs 50,000 along with the trophy.
Third placed winners Gaipuinam United Football Association (GUFA) were also encouraged with Rs 25,000 along with a trophy while KVYC, Kekru Villa and KFC, Khoupum emerged best disciplined team and winners of march past event respectively and were presented shields along with cash prizes Rs 10,000 each.
Lankao Henry Kamei of DFC was adjudged best player of the tournament while his compatriot Golmei Dihempu Rongmei emerged the best goalkeeper of the tournament. Tichuilung R Panmei of KMTYC, Konthoujam Maning won the top scorer title with 9 goals in his name. The above three players were also encouraged with Rs 5,000 and cups while AB Mairilungbou of DFC was named player of the final match and was feted with certificate and a medal.
