Tuleswor wins +45 yrs men's singles title

IMPHAL, Oct 11 : Tuleswor Thongbam has won the +45 years men's singles title beating Yogesh Kohli in straight set at the Imphal-ITF Senior Tennis Tournament organised by Manipur Tennis Association at Officers' Club Tennis Complex, Lamphelpat.
Tuleswor won 6-2, 6-4 in the +45 years men's singles ultimate clash against Yogesh Kohli to lay his hands on the title while Nagaraj Revanasiddaiah, Kannan Sethu also earned to top honours respectively in the men's singles events for +55 years and +35 years.
Nagaraj won the +55 years singles title with an easy 6-2, 6-0 win against Bhusan Chandra in the final and Kannan Sethu strolled 6-3, 6-3 past Khangembam Indrakumar to claim +35 years singles title.
Nagaraj Revanasiddaiah also claimed Men's doubles title for +55 years with Sanjai Kumar as his partner, after thrashing Dilip Singh Nongmaithem and Suresh Murthati 6-0, 6-3 in the final today.
Kangjamba and Tuleswor pair were +45 years doubles winners after beating Yogesh and Ningtamba in the final while Kanan Sethu and Khangembam Indrakhumar Singh pair claimed the +35 years doubles titles at the tournament beating Faiz Ahmed and Syed Babar Mahamood. 
The singles and doubles winners were feted with a cash prize of Rs 10,000 each during the valedictory function of the tournament which was graced by PK Singh, IAS as chief guest. The runners up of the singles competition and doubles competition were on the other hand encouraged with cash prize of  Rs 7,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively. The semi-finalists for singles and doubles and quarter finalists for singles competition were also feted during the occasion.
