The way you looked that night
Sitting there staring at the moon
Your face was full of curiosity and life
How your curly black hair fell down your shoulder .
The way you talked
I still remember .
Your smile
That smile brought life to something inside my heart .
When I see you cry my chest hurts .
They ruined you
I understand why you did what you did .
I know why the cut on your wrist ,
Was less painful than your life .
I know why you felt empty
Like nothing mattered .
When you bled out in that bathroom
I understand why you felt relief and peace .
Your kindness became their weapon
I know why you kept walking that night .
You were walking in blindness .
It was just too much
You didn't know what would happen
They took everything from you .
They broke your soul .
That's why you wanted everything to stop
You left it to be a cautionary tale to others
So that people would understand your pain .
I will always remember the way
You danced in that purple dress .
I can't accept that you're gone
I miss the way you looked that night.
If only someone was there for you
You would still be here .
But , I understand
I would be lying if I say
I haven't thought about it .
You were brave enough to do it .
I will never forget your voice
Your kind beautiful voice .
I am glad you felt relief even if it was in the end .

You're not selfish you did the only thing you could do .
