Locals of Uchathol decry deplorable condition of Uchathol-Leisabithol road

Jiribam, Oct 17: The Local of Uchathol, Jiribam decried the deplorable condition of Uchathol-Leisabithol road.
In a press meet held today in this connection at Uchathol Pioneer Club, the Secretary of Pioneer Club, Uchathol, Jiribam Y Romen Singh said that the present condition of the Uchathol road is in a pitiable state which will get worsen in rainy season and will become so dusty in dry season.
“Due to bad shape of the road, people nearby suffered severely as well as the students faced difficulties while going to school, college through the road”, Romen Added.
He further stated that the road got worsened due to movement of heavy vehicles and transportation of heavy machineries by NF Railway.
He also said that several complaints were submitted to the concerned authorities  as well as to the NF railway regarding the issue but no positive response is received so far.
As such, he cautioned the concerned authorities and NF railway to repair the road on or before October 20 failing which the locals will halt the movement of heavy vehicles on the road from the next day onwards.
