NISHTHA training begins at Kakching

KAKCHING, Oct 17: As part of Samagra Shiksha Campaign initiated by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt of India, a five days district level programme  on "National Initiative of School Heads and Teachers’ Holistic Advancement" training (NISHTHA) began under the supervision of Directorate of Education (S) and Directorate SCERT  at District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Kakching today.
Regarding the programme, Principal DIET Lakching, W Puinyabati said that a total of 30 headmaster/headmistress of Govt Elementary School and 150 teachers were participating in the training programme.
She further said that the purpose of organizing the training is to bring some changes in the nature of teaching method which is in slight deviation from the earlier education system while adding that, as a new activities, the trained teachers will train the new teachers in the programme.
