5 cops summoned on November 12

IMPHAL, Oct 17 : Chief Judicial Magistrate today directed 5 cops to appear before session Court Imphal West On November 12 in connection with the death of Khumbongmayum Orsonjit at Taothong Makha leikai on March 12, 2010. 
The alleged accused cops are then Havildar Laishram Premkumar of Haobam Marak Keisham Leikai, then Havildar Leichongbam Romesh of Vijang near Tuibong forest gate, Churchandpur, then Constable Md Ibomcha Shah of Yairipok Tulihal, then Constable Ankub Luther Kom of Thayong village Lamlai and Khwairakpam Somendro of Thanga Oinam Khwairakpam Leikai
CBI/SIT started investigating the death of Khumbongmayum Orsonjit based on an FIR of Lamshang PS of March 16, 2010 submitted by the accused Havildar Laishram Premkumar.
On September 27 all the accused cops along with counsels appeared before the Court and filed an application for leave to surrender and letting  them off on bail.
Hence the alleged accused cops were allowed to surrender that day and let off on bail on execution of PR bond of Rs 50 thousand each with surety of same amount.
