BSF observes Martyrs Week

Border Security Force, STC BSF CCpur is observing Martyrs week since October 15.
D K Tripathi, Inspector General, STC, BSF, CCpur inaugurated the Martyrs week.  As part of the event, a quiz competition was organized at STC campus. Students from 5 schools namely Covenant school, Don Bosco Hr Sec School, Kendriya Vidyalaya,  Rayburn High School and  St Paul's Institute participated in the event. Don Bosco Hr Sec School stood first position and Kendriya Vidyala School stood 2nd position. Trophy and medals were given to both the winners and all participants were given consolation prizes. Students were also shown various weapons of BSF. Families of martyrs were felicitated on the same occasion, said a statement of BSF.
Today, in order to pay homage to Martyr Inspector (Late) Alex T Lalminlun, of 168 Battalion BSF, felicitation programme was organized at  St Teresa School, Tuaitengphai village, where he had studied. BSF songs and documentary, presentation on life history of Inspector Alex and how he made supreme sacrifice for the Nation was given by T Douminlian, Asst Comdt. Students also perform various cultural items.
D K Tripathi, IG,  honoured the martyr family with traditional shawl and memento. Sports items namely football, volley ball, basket ball and volley ball net were given to the school.
STC BSF CCpur is working on a Golf Course in the name of Alex (Alex Golf Course). Inspector (Late) Alex T Lalminlun was posted in168 Battalion BSF at Poonch, Jammu and he made supreme sacrifice for the Nation on 1st April 2019 while retaliating cross border shelling from Pakistan side, said BSF.
