Mini and Sub-Jr State Open Badminton: Ch Ritesh wins U17 boys singles title, double delight for Matic Rohe

IMPHAL, Oct 18 : Imphal West's Ch Ritesh has clinched the U-17 boys singles title at the 64th Mini and Sub-Junior State Open Badminton Championship 2019 which was organised by Manipur Badminton Association at Indoor Stadium, DM College Campus.
Ch Ritesh won the first place with after an overwhelming 21-13, 21-8 win against Sirzeet M of Imphal East in the final today. U-17 girls singles crown went to Ksh Maheshwari Devi of Imphal East who cruised to 21-10, 22-20 win against L Diana of Imphal West in the ultimate clash today.
The day also saw Sushanta M of KDBA (Kakching) earn the U-11 boys singles title with a 16-21, 21-16, 21-13 hard fought win against Kalo Truman of Imphal East in the final today while Leonie T outshine Jianna L 21-9, 21-10 to claim the U-11 girls singles title in an all Imphal West final clash.
K Gunjan of Imphal East fetched the U-13 girls singles title today beating Leonie T 21-18, 21-12 in the final today while Matic Rohe of Imphal East won the boys' title with a 21-18, 21-13 win against H Malemnganba.
U-15 girls title went to M Priya of Imphal East who prevailed 21-7, 21-10 over E Rubina of Imphal West in the final and Matic Rohe managed his second title at the tournament beating Ronald RK of Imphal West 21-15, 21-13 in the U-15 boys singles final today.
Doubles
Ch Vikson and K Nganba won the U-17 boys doubles crown beating Bidyachandra Kh and Sirzeet M 21-16, 21-18 in the final today while the M Malemnganba and L Brickson won the U-15 boys doubles title with a 21-16, 14-21, 21-19 win against H Rohenkumar Singh and Kh Amarjit Singh in the final.
M Malemnganba and L Brickson also won the U-13 boys doubles title as they outshone Borish Salam and Kasprou Ahanthem 24-22, 21-17 in the final.
