Brown Sugar, Heroin no 4 and WY tablets worth Rs 82 lakh seized

Tengnoupal, Oct 18: Personnel of 12 Assam Rifles while conducting frisking and searching of an Eeco Van at Khudengthabi Permanent Motor Vehicle Check Post seized 11 packets of Brown Sugar, 4 packets of Heroin no 4 and 6 packets of WY tablets yesterday at around 5.10 pm.
The Van was driven by one Md Ajmir Ali (29) s/o Md Liyaqat Ali of Khomidok Umang Leikai, Pangei Yangdong, Imphal East.
The seized Brown Sugar weighs around 132 gm worth Rs 28 lakh, Heroin no 4 weighs 120 gm approx worth Rs 50 lakh and 40 thousand and the seized 1200 WY tablets is worth Rs 3 lakh and 60 thousand, said a report issued by Assam Rifles.
The seized items along with the persons were handed over to Moreh PS yesterday for further legal action.
