Pahari recalled

IMPHAL, Oct 18:  Nongmaithem Pahari Memorial Trust (NPMT) observed the 13th death anniversary of Nongmaithem Pahari at Lamyanba Shanglen, Konung Lampak, Imphal today.
During the observance, the organiser handed a simple gift to an old friend of the late great singer, Nongthombam Noongton Singh.
Speaking at the event, former Minister RV Mingthang said that relation between hills and valley people can be strengthened only when the leaders are honest and put in their best efforts instead of making some statement for personal or political gain.
He also stressed on the need for cooperation among the North Eastern States of India to ensure development of the region as a whole.
Later, the attendees paid floral tributes to the portrait of N Pahari.
The programme was also attended by Chongtham Kamala Devi, president NPMT.
