Imphal, Oct 19
Urging the State Government to release the fund of Family Oriented Schemes (FOS) within the month of October, ATRPFM has cautioned that all means will be explored including filing PIL before the High Court of Manipur if the demand is not met.
A press release issued by All Tribal Rights Protection Forum Manipur (ATRPFM) said that the beneficiaries are still  waiting for the fund when the Central Government had released the fund long ago.
It also said that frequent diversion of funds meant for the tribal people is highly unconstitutional and unfair and shameful on the part of the State Government led by BJP.
All funds of the TA&Hills including scholarships for students have been diverted by the incumbent Government frequently and never release on time, it claimed.
The Statement further claimed that the State Government has also failed to fulfil the charters of demand submitted by ATRPFM and ATCFM few months back.
The demands seek re-allocation of all matters relating to the creation / recognition of new villages or bifurcation of a village in hill areas of Manipur in accordance with law, extension of direct funding to ADCs instead of grant-in-aid including revised of honorarium to Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Executive Members and ADC Members and correction of Census records among other, it said, adding that ATRPFM will starts taking action of its own if the State Government failed to give positive response before the end of this month.
