CCpur, Oct 4: FC Khoirentak Khunou and FC Molphei emerged victorious in today's matches of the ongoing 21st KKYC Football Tournament played today.
In the Pool D league match of the day, FC Molphei defeated FC Leisenbung by 2-0 goals, thanks to goals from Elom Mumu Kipgen and Hehem Kipgen. The result also helped FC Molphei emerged Group winners.
Elom Mumu broke the deadlock in the 37th minute of the match after the two sides traded few runs and Hehem Kipgen doubled the advantage in the 40th minute of the match with a superbly taken shot.
FC Leisenbung toiled hard to cut the gap in the latter part of the game but FC Molphei defence were not in the mood to lose an inch to their rivals and so tackled impressively to keep all threats giving their team the 2-0 edge.
Meanwhile in a Pool B encounter, FC Khoirentak Khunou earned a similar  2-0 win against Tuikong FC which sealed a 4-0 win against Bunglon FC in their league opener.
Hmangte Melquer Kom (5', 25') shone in the match as he scored both the goals for FC Khoirentak Khunou.
FC Khoirentak Khunou will take on Bunglon FC in the last Pool B league match tomorrow at 12 pm.
