4th MAYU Chavang Golseh begins

Kakching, Oct 4: In connection with the upcoming Chavang Kut Festival, Molnoi Area Youth Union (MAYU) has inaugurated the 4th edition of MAYU Chavang Golseh 2019, an annual sports meet, at its ground at Pallel, yesterday.
The launching programme was attended by Autonomous District Council Chandel, vice chairman, STongpao Mate as chief guest; Kuki Inpi Manipur, custom and culture secretary C Lhunthang Mate as guest of honour and Molnoi Area Welfare Council ( MAWC), chairman, Lhunmang Haokip as functional president. Chief of T Lhangnom Village, Thangson Haokip also attended the programme as chief host.
At the event, S Tongpao Mate lauded MAYU for organising the sports meet, which he believed will encourage the youth to lead a healthy and prosperous lives.
During the sports meet which is slated to continue till October 8, several sporting competitions like football; volleyball; marathon; 100 metre race; shot put; long jump, high jump; tug of war etc will be held.
In the first day football matches, Langjachin House  beat Pakang House  by 2-0; Tintong House (A) trounced Chenjapao House  by 4-0.
