Kak Super Divn League: FC Lamjao romp to 8-1 win against UBSA to claim league title

IMPHAL, Oct 5 : FC Lamjao completed their campaign at the 18th Ksh Leihao Devi Memorial Super Division League Football Tournament with a 8-1 thrashing of UBSA Mantak and win the title of the tournament with 9 points from 3 wins.
FC Lamjao also walked away with a cash prize of Rs 5,200 while SWC which finished runners up with 6 points from two wins in three matches in the 4 team league tournament (number of the teams reduced after TYPA was removed) were also feted with a cash prize of Rs 5,100.
FC Lamjao's K Sanatomba Singh, L Borish Singh, T Premchand Sharma respectively emerged best goalkeeper, best defender and best midfielder and were also feted with a cash prize of Rs 1,000 each. FC Lamjao's L Kishan and E Joykishan jointly claimed the highest scorer prize of Rs 1,000. E Joykishan was also named best player of the tournament and encouraged with a cash prize of Rs 1,000 each.
United Brothers Sporting Association's coach, K Brojen Kom was honoured with best manager title while Sena Athletes' Organisation were named as best disciplined team.
In the last league match of the tournament, Joykison scored four goals alone (22', 48'. 67', 90') and Kisan scored  twice (45+2', 62) to hand FC Lamjao the huge 8-1 win against the Mantak side.
Ngirhitler handed UBSA the breakthrough in the 10th minute of the match but Sanajaoba helped FC Lamjao draw level in the 18th minutes of the match before Joykison overturn the lead four minutes latter in favour of FC Lamjao.
Yaiphaba extended the lead to 3-1 in the  37th minute before Kisan grabbed his first goal during the additional time of the first half. Joykisan carried forward the scoring spree in the second half and banged in his second goal in the 48th minute to make it 5-1 past UBSA. Kisan grabbed his second goal in the 62nd minute after the team rested for a while while Joykison pumped in two more goals in the 67th minute and 90th minute to complete the 8-1 demolition of the Mantak team.
