Unbeaten RFC capture Kakching 3rd Division Football League title

IMPHAL, Oct 7 : RFC, Wabagai Hiyanglam earned the title of the Third Division Football League Tournament-2019 organised by District Sports Association Kakching at its playground with 8 points from two wins, including today's 1-0 win against FC Kakching Khunou, and two draws.
SDO, Pallel which posted two wins in this 5 team league tournament finished second while KYWAC which earned 1 win and 2 draws managed the third spot.
FC Kakching Khunou  and RFC made a cautious start to the game, making a series of runs and interceptions on both ends  as RFC were looking forward to extend their unbeaten run and ultimate the league title while the Kakching Khunou side were yearning for the win with high margin so as to finish on top. The two sides drew nil in the first half despite their chances but S Hemochandra's goal in the 57th minute was more than enough for RFC to earn full points and cruise to league title.
 A draw between the two teams would have resulted into a completely different scenario as SDO which have posted 2 wins in the tournament and RFC would share same points  (6 points) and the team with better goal count would be named champions.
