AMBBA hails performances of State athletes at 11th Mr World Bodybuilding and Physique C'ship

IMPHAL, Nov 10 : All Manipur Body builders' Association (AMBBA) has greeted all athletes from the State for their commendable performances including Arambam Boby's gold medal feat at the 11th Mr World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship-2019 which began on November 5 and will continue till November 11 at Jeju Island, South Korea.
Athletes from Manipur, L Neta Singh finished 5th in the 55 kg class while Arambam Mangal Singh finished 4th in the Men's Open Physique competition at the said championship. Indian Railways' Arambam Boby who also represented India at the said championship in the 80 kg class clinched his record 8th Mr World title. Thiyam Dayanand Singh who is serving in the Indian Army too bag a gold medal for India in the 100 kg class.
Indian Railways' Nongmaithem Sarbo also claimed a silver medal in the 80 kg event while Irengbam Dev of Indian Army finished 4th in the 85 kg category competition.
AMBBA also drew attention of the State Government to provide appropriate honour and recognition to Arambam Boby who has set a benchmark in the field of bodybuilding and brought laurels to the State and the country at large on many occasions.
