Lions Club of Imphal Greater conducts diabetes detection camp

IMPHAL, Nov 10: Lions Club of Imphal Greater organised a free diabetes detection cum awareness camp at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex today.
The campaign as part of the worldwide diabetes detection campaign conducted by Lions Clubs International was attended by 188 individuals including sportspersons.
Dr Surjit Konsam of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Science (JNIMS), who is also the president of the Lions Club of Imphal Greater, said diabetes can be prevented if a person leads a healthy lifestyle, take controlled diet and reduce consumption of high cholesterol food.
MJF Lion M Gojendra Singh, past district governor District 322D, Lion W Harichoron, proprietor of Hotel Polo and many Lion members attended the event.
