Malemnganba finishes runner up at Sub Jr Badminton Natl C'ship

IMPHAL, Nov 10 : Manipur's Hemam Malemnganba settled for the runner up spot in the U-13 Boys' singles competition at the Yonex Sunrise 33rd National Sub-Junior Badminton Championship 2019 held at Bhagalpur, Bihar since November 6 under the auspices of Badminton Association of India. Another lad from Manipur, Matic Rohe Thiyam finished third in the same event.
In the final match staged today, Hemam Malemngamba started positively but slipped from the second set  and eventually went 21-11, 10-21, 17-21 in the hands of Anshi Negi to contend with the second place title.
Malemnganba reached the final beating his compatriot Matic Rohe 21-12, 21-14 in the semi-final.
