IMPHAL, Nov 10
Co-ordinating Committee All Manipur Students & Youths Welfare Association, during its first phase of the 'Free  Computer Lab Campaign,' has opened computer laboratories in 35 private schools. The second phase of the campaign will begin in early 2020, said convenor of the association Kh Rameshwor today.
The campaign was started to equip all private schools in the State with computer labs, he said.
Speaking at the inauguration of a computer lab at Kangleipak Modern School, Singda Kadangban, Rameshwor said that many private schools in the periphery of the Greater Imphal area still lack computer lab.
The association is deeply concerned with some of the schools taking 'fees' from students for computer classes, he said.
He further appealed all authorities concerned of private schools which have no computer lab facilities to contact the association for installing one in their schools.
