Assam Rifles seizes heroin worth Rs 10.4 lakh

IMPHAL, Nov 10
Troops of Assam Rifles under HQ IGAR (South) recovered heroin worth Rs 10.40 lakh from bus passenger at Khudengthabi Check post in Tengnoupal district on Nov 8.
During a routine vehicle check, troops of Assam Rifles stopped a suspicious white colour Bus. On carrying out thorough check of the bus, the team recovered 2 packets of heroin weighing approximately 26 grams from one passenger Lalkhogou (64)  of Churachandpur, said a statement of PRO IGAR (South).
The detained individual and the recovered items have been handed over to Moreh Police Station for further investigation, said AR.
