Speaker's residence

IMPHAL, Nov 10: A large number of womenfolk attempted to storm the Yumnam Leikai residence of Manipur State Assembly Speaker Y Khemchand today, in connection with the COCOMI led agitation against any impact to Manipur as a result of the Naga political solution.
However, the people failed to meet the Speaker and instead, his wife Yumnam (O) Joybala pacified the people by informing them that her husband is currently in Delhi in connection with the issue.
She also assured that the people will be able to hear good news when Khemchand returns.
The Speaker's wife further pledged to offer every possible support the people in pursuing the demand and expressed that as a Manipuri, she is strongly against any attempt to harm the integrity of the State.
