IW 3rd Divn League Juvenile romp past SUN 5-0 as KSYC hold YAC

IMPHAL, Nov 11 : Juvenile (JUV), Tera trounced SUN-C, Mongsangei by 5-0 goals at KYC (N) ground, Khurkhul in the second Group A league match of the 3rd Sh Mani Sharma Memorial Third Division Football League tournament being held under the aegis of Imphal West District Football Association. The Group A opener staged earlier the day saw KSYC, Hiyangthang and YAC, Yurembam settle for a points each after playing out a 1-1 draw.
Shirinmi was the highlight of the day as he scored twice in JUV's 5-0 thrashing of SUN-C after a prolific start to the game. JUV dominated the game right from the onset and earned the lead through Shirinmi  in the 5th minute of the match. The onslaught continued with Ajoy scoring the second goal for the team in the 13th minute before Shirinmi completed his scoring ten minutes latter to ensure JUV enjoy a 3-0 lead till the break.
Lacklustre SUN-C managed to withstand JUV pressure after the restart but their effort began to collapse latter on as JUV were relentless and it was Somesh who clinched JUV's fourth goal in the 45th minute  before Sanatomba slammed home the final nail during the stoppage time (60+1) and completed the 5-0 rout.
Meanwhile in the opening Group A match, KSYC and YAC were locked without a goal being scored in the first half but Th Raju broke the deadlock in the 53rd minute to put YAC ahead before E Motilal handed KYSC the equaliser a minute away from time (59th minute) off a last ditch effort.
USC, Phayeng will meet MSC, Malom in the second Group B league match tomorrow at 12.30 pm while SYCS, Sangaithel will play ESA, Mayang Imphal in a Group A league match latter at 2 pm.
