VAA dominate Day 3 of 34th Junior State Archery C'ships

IMPHAL, Nov 11 : VAA shone with 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal on the third day of the 34th Junior Boys and Girls State Archery Championships being organised under the supervision of Manipur Archery Association at EYCA ground, Porompat.
Suchitra T gave VAA the  first gold medal of the day in the 50+50 m individual girls' compound event by scoring 669 points.
Laishram Dulina Devi of ACE bagged the silver medal of this event with a score of 652 (x-12, 10-13) points while N Beronika of UAC finished third for the bronze medal with a score of 652 (x-9, 10-13) points.
Meanwhile in the boys competition of the same event, UAC's RK Priyobrata finished on top with 671 points to win the gold medal while O Henary of VAA finished second with 665 points. Th Surrajnganba of SAIRC who shot 664 points grabbed the bronze medal of this event.
70+70 m Recurve
VAA earned the other gold medal through Ksh Manglemsana who managed a total of 617 points in the final round against NSA's Y Anupama who earned a distant 588 points to settle for the silver medal.
Lummila Phungshok of SAIRC finished third to win the bronze medal in this event with a total score of 575 points.
On the other hand, Ak Amarjit Singh fetched 70+70 m Recurve gold for boys scoring the highest 601 points in the final round while his compatriot L Nelson settled for the silver medal with 589 points. The bronze medal for this event went to W Leonard of SAIRC who fetched a total of 588 points.
KMAC with 3 gold medals and 1 silver medal are still leading tally of the championship which will conclude tomorrow.
