DIMAPUR, Nov 2:  The Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) “heartily welcomes” what it called the “successful process of political negotiations”.  The NTC then congratulated the Naga negotiators--- the NNPGs and the NSCN (IM). The NTC also congratulated the Government of India.
In a press statement issued to media houses in Dimapur tonight, the NTC expressed its gratitude to the “Living God, the God of the Nagas who mercifully blessed the Naga political negotiators to overcome every negotiating hurdle and have reached the desired goal for a solution”.
The NTC also “heartily” thanked all “dedicated” prayer groups, individuals and the “prayerful” churches of all denominations for the “success of what has been achieved for a solution”. The NTC also thanked the “14 Indigenous Naga tribes of Nagaland” and the Nagaland GB Federation for having stood in unity and whose “expressive support” for solution was a crucial requirement at the "very critical" juncture. The NTC also thanked the “fellow Indigenous minority tribes and the indigenous citizens of Nagaland for the steadfast encouragements and support for the timely political solution”.
The NTC also expressed its gratitude to Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and appreciated the "dedication, the magnanimity and the flair” managements of the lengthy process of negotiations by RN Ravi, the Governor and Interlocutor and for having brought the “doubtful situation to a future of hope”.
Further, the NTC also expressed its gratitude to the Chief Minister of Nagaland and his colleagues and the Opposition Members for the “unstinted” co-operation to the process of negotiations. The NTC further thanked the State bureaucracy for the “relentless” cooperation during the process of negotiation. The NTC also expressed gratitude to “all those NNPGs” who set aside their differences and with all “humbleness positively responded” to the wishes of the people of Nagaland, formed the Working Committee and participated in the talks in the "spirit of oneness through which the solution was persuaded".
Meanwhile, the NTC then appealed to “our people” to be aware of being swayed away by the rampant spread of disinformation and fake news on the latest developments.
Finally, the NTC said that both the Government and the Naga leaders are “dedicatedly working for a brighter and better future for the Nagas”.
