MPSC-IGO; YMDO-KYLSC in Sr Men's State Volleyball semis

IMPHAL, Nov 2 : Manipur Police Sports Club will be meeting IGO, Oinam at Youth Pioneer's Association Ground, Hiyanglam Hiranmei tomorrow in the first semi-final match of the 2nd Senior State Level Men's Volleyball Tournament being organised under the supervision of All Manipur Volleyball Association as YMDO, Heirangoithong will be meeting KYLSC, Kachikhul in the second semi-final match.
MPSC emerged Group A winners with three of three wins as they managed a straight set (25-17, 31-29, 25-16) victory against MIKHYA, Mayang Imphal in their last league match today.
YMDO on the other hand emerged Group B winners posting two of two wins, including today's 3-2 win against IGO. It was a see saw affair as the two teams looked for pole position in their group however YMDO proved their points in the deciding set to seal the game 25-23, 18-25, 23-25, 25-20, 15-10.
KYLSC were also able to book the semi-final berth today with a 25-15, 27-25, 25-16 win against YPA, Hiranmei in the last Group A league match. Meanwhile in a match that was postponed earlier due to rain, IGO got the better of TRYVC, Ukhrul  3-1. IGO started poorly in the opening set but rallied back positively to finish the game 18-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-18 to seal a place in the semi-final as Group B runners.
The final match will be held tomorrow at 1.30 pm after completing the semi-final matches in the morning.
