IMPHAL, Nov 24 : Maisnam Meiraba Luwang ended his U-19 men's singles campaign at the Singapore Youth International Series-2019 with a bronze medal after going down in a semi-final clash yesterday.
Meiraba started poorly but made a brief comeback in the second set before his opponent Liao Jhuo Fu of Taiwan resurged and completed the final line up with a 21-12, 7-21, 21-7 win.
Liao Jhuo Fu then earned the men's singles title beating HUANG Yu Kai 19-21, 21-18, 22-20 in the final staged today.
Meiraba earned the last four spot beating Ihsu Che Yu of Taiwan 21-18, 21-11 in the quarter final match on November 22 after beating Singapore's Inda Septian Wijaya 21-12, 21-16 and Indonesian Made Deco Setya Atmaja 21-19, 22-20 in the earlier rounds.
The tourament which began on November 18 was organised by Singapore Badminton Federation under the auspices of BWF/ Badminton Asian Confederation.
