KYC thump JUV 3-1 to win Sh Mani Sharma Memorial 3rd Divn League

IMPHAL, Nov 26 : KYC-N, Khurkhul outperformed Juvenile (JUV), Tera 3-1 today at it home ground to win the title of the 3rd Sh Mani Sharma Memorial Third Division League organised under the supervision of Imphal West District Football Association.
Group B winners, KYC-N started strongly and took a 2-0 lead within ten minutes as JUV defence were left in tatters by the pace of Khurkhul team players who worked out to make their way in early on. Lungouhao did not find it long to find the gap and beat JUV's custodian in the 4th minute before his team mate U Robert banged in the second goal four minutes latter.
JUV which had a record journey in group (A) stage with 5 of 5 wins, had to step up their defence soon and hold the incomings as KYC-N were relentless despite the two goal advantage. After trailing 2-0, JUV's condition was never seen getting better in the second half as well and to their disappointment S Meiraba hit the decisive goal for KYC-N in the 62nd minute.
With that goal KYC-N were happy to sit back while JUV had to pushed more men forward to earn the face saving goal which they got during the additional time through Punshiba (70'+3') when the match was already wrapped up.
L Robin of the winning team received the only yellow card of the day in the 56th minute of the match as the two sides faced off with high level maturity and discipline.
