TBM Memorial 24th Winners' Cup LYGSEDA enter semi-final

IMPHAL, Nov 28: LYGSEDA have sealed a place in the semi final of the Thangjam Birachandra-Maipakpi Memorial 24th Winners' Cup 2019, despite a goalless draw with JSYC in the second leg quater-final at Thomas Ground Kangpokpi.
They got their berth on the back of 2-0 win in the first leg encounter.
The 2nd leg match today witnessed intense competition between the two teams with LYGSEDA trying to  stretch their lead to ensure entry into the semi finals and JSYC desperate to come back from their 2-0 loss in the first leg.
M Munglungthang and M Ngamgingou of the LYGSEDA were cautioned with a yellow card each in the 15th and 73rd minute and JSYC's Seiboigun K in the 32nd minute.
Despite chances on both halves the two sides failed to capitalised and eventually the game ended with no goals paving way for the Longpi side to enter the semi finals.
LYGSEDA will play first leg of the semi finals against  MPSC at its home ground, Khoupijang Ground Sugnu on December 1 at 1.30 pm.
KIYC Kshetri Iril Mapal and FC Lamjao Kakching will play second leg quater-final match tomorrow at 1.30 pm at the former's home ground.
