24th Winners' Cup: KIYC win 8-1 on aggregate against FC Lamjao to reach final

IMPHAL, Nov 29 : KYIC, Kshetri Iril Mapal romped past FC Lamjao by 4-1 goals at ABA ground, Kshetrigao today in the semi-final second leg to complete the 8-1 aggregate finish and become this year's first team to reach the final of Thangjam Birachandra-Maipakpi Memorial 24th Winners Cup being organised by All Manipur Football Association. Earlier in the first leg away to FC Lamjao's home ground, KIYC won 4-0 to secure a comfortable position.
K Alexander was the highlight of the match as he lead the attack up at the front and scored thrice, including the first two goals to hand KYIC a 2-1 lead till the break. E Joykison scored the only goal for FC Lamjao in the 36th minute before Alexander completed his treble in the 84th minute and his team mate Musha Khan landed the final blow in the 89th minute.
LYGSEDA, Longpi will host MPSC in the first leg of the last semi-final match at Khopijang ground, Sugnu on December 1 at 1.30 pm while the second leg will be played at MPSC's homeground, MPTC ground, Pangei on December 4.
