Moirang 1st Divn League: FC Kumbi, AMOFA Academy extend winning run

IMPHAL, Nov 3 : AMOFA Academy, Moirang and FC Kumbi posted similar 1-0 wins to respectively seal their third wins at the 1st L Kerani Memorial First Division Football League Tournament being organised by District Football Association Moirang at Moirang Multipurpose ground featuring a total of 11 teams clustered into two groups.
In the first Group A league match of the day, AMOFA FC and XI Star started cautiously to deny one another from making the headway till the break however Naobi's strike for AMOFA Academy in the 39th minute separated the two teams.
The other Group A league match played between FC Kumbi and City FC, Moirang went almost similar as both teams were deprived of goals despite few close calls  in the first half before W Yaiphaba broke the deadlock in the 49th minute. The scoreline remained unchanged although City FC were trying hard to draw level and eventually FC Kumbi posted their third win on trot after starting their campaign with a 1-2 loss in the hands of AMOFA Academy.
