Clinical MPSC claim 2nd Senior State Level Volleyball title

IMPHAL, Nov 3 : Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC) which maintained a perfect record from league stage onwards deservingly lifted the title of the 2nd Senior State Level Volleyball Tournament-2019 organised by Youth Pioneer's Association (YPA) at its ground under the supervision of All Manipur Volleyball Association.
MPSC defeated YMDO, Heirangoithong  in straight sets (25-23, 25-18, 25-15) after a close start today to win the title of the tournament participated by 7 teams clubbed into two groups.
Group A winners, MPSC carved out a 3-2 sets win against spirited IGO, Oinam today in the first semi-final match staged in the morning. MPSC made a good start but slipped in the following two sets before coming back in the fourth set to draw level  and sealed the game 25-20, 13-25, 22-25, 25-21, 15-13.
Meanwhile in the second semi-final match, YMDO, Heirangoithong had a sloppy start against KYLSC, Kachikhul but made their way back impressively to wrap up the game 23-25, 25-23, 25-15, 25-23.
