ELSA, SYC emerge victorious in Moirang 1st Division League

IMPHAL, Nov 4 : ELSA, Naransena thrashed Ideal Club, Sunusiphai 4-0 to finish Group B winners and sealed a place in the semi-final of the 1st L Kerani Memorial First Division Football League Tournament being organised by District Football Association Moirang at Moirang Multipurpose Ground.
ELSA started on a bright note with M Chinglemba leading the attack up at the front and scoring a brace (5', 16') before L Rakesh converted a chance to make it 3-0 for ELSA till the break.
Krishnanda then fired home the final nail in the 41st minute of the match as Ideal Club could not find their form throughout.
The day also saw SYC, Sagang beat AKSA, Kwakta 5-3 in a thrilling Group A encounter. M Emmanuel topscored with 3 goals in his name (11', 17', 39') for SYC including the opener while Tetuba (26') and S Shandu (42') managed a goal each to steer their team to the second win of the tournament. On the other hand, Rahaman (14') and Abdul Kalam (19', 23') did the scoring for AKSA.
