DAC Motbung lift KFA’s 3rd Open Night football trophy

KANGPOKPI, Nov 5: Dynamo Athletic Club, Motbung has emerged champions of the Kuki Football Academy’s 3rd open night football tournament 2019 after sealing a comfortable 3-0 win over South Changoubung Youth Club in the final match at KFA Playground, D Phaihel village in Kangpokpi District, yesterday.
The closing ceremony of the tournament was graced by Works Minister Th Biswajit Singh; Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen; MLA L Radhakishore and Social Worker Seiboi Haokip Singh as dignitaries.
Special Guest Seiboi Haokip, a prominent social worker from Moreh kicked off the final match after inspection of players and encouragement speech apart from contributing Rs 1 lakh to for the upliftment of the Kuki Football Academy.
The match witnessed Dynamo Athletic Club taking control of the match right from the beginning with its striker Paogouthang Lhouvum netting the first goal in the 7th minute.
Solomon Hmangte further dampened the spirit of S Changoubung YC with his 36th minute’s goal before he scored his second and third for his team in the 80th minute to seal the win.
 The winner Dynamo Athletic Club took home a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh along with medal and citation while the runners up S Changoubung Youth was awarded a cash prize of Rs 50,000 with medal and citation.
Seikholen of Phaijang YC, Ngamminlen of Taphou YC, Sehgouhao of LMT Hengbung, Solomon Baite of LBYC Leimakhong, Lenboilun of DAC Motbung, Seiminhao of S Changoubung YC, Paogouthang Lhouvum of DAC Motbung, Mangginthang of S Changoubung YC and Seilet Khongsai of S Changoubung YC were awarded best goalkeeper, best defender, best midfielder, best striker, top scorer, hat-trick scorer, man of the tournament, man of the final match and best coach awards while LAYO Leimakhong, Boigun Team (Mulam) and Taphou FC were awarded best team, farthest participating team and team with best fans awards.
