AMOFA Academy thump AKSA Jr 3-0

IMPHAL, Nov 6 : AMOFA Academy rode on Bidyasagar brace to thrash AKSA Jr, Kwakta by 3-0 goals today in a group A encounter of the 1st L Kerani Memorial Senior Division Football Tournament being organised by District Football Association Moirang at Moirang Multipurpose ground.
The two sides were evenly poised and locked without any goals in the first half but Bidyasagar broke the deadlock in the 34th minute before adding another in the 48th minute to complete his brace and made it 2-0 for AMOFA Academy.
AKSA Jr struggle continued as AMOFA Academy continued to press them and to their disappointment Jaitly fired home the final nail in the 55th minute to hand the latter team a 3-0 win.
Meanwhile, District Football Association Moirang has decided to suspend GMC, Phubala for 6 months besides slapping a fine of Rs 10,000 payable within three months. The decision was taken by the disciplinary committee of DFA Moirang as per the Para 14, Clause-II  of the tournament conduct rules after the said team did not turn for a match of the ongoing 1st L Kerani Memorial Senior Division Football Tournament on November 5.
