IE Police celebrates Ningol Chakkouba

IMPHAL, Nov 9: To build a better relationship between the police and the public, Imphal East district police organised a Ningol Chakkouba programme at Imphal East SP office complex today where more than 700 Ningols were invited.
Various women representatives of CSOs and from various districts attended the event and exchanged gifts with the police personnel.
Speaking to media persons, SP Imphal East, Haobijam Jogeshchandra said that Ningol Chakkouba has been organised every year by the district police to ensure a good police-public relation. The police personnel are serving the people and are working hard to maintain peace in the society. Public should be aware of the positive impact brought by the police, he added.
The SP encouraged the women present to cooperate and approach police when need arises.
The Ningols gave blessings to the police personnel during the event.
