Tbl/Bpr, Nov 9: In continuation of the ongoing movement by people at different parts of the State (under the aegis of COCOMI) against the non-disclosure of the agreement brought between GoI and NSCN-IM, people in Thoubal district also carried out a series of similar protest demonstrations across the district.
Students and teachers of Yairipok Universal College formed human chain in front of the college  while students and teachers of ACME Higher Sec School Yairipok organised a rally from the school  and around Yairipok bazar in which they shouted slogans and raised placards demanding against any form of impact on the State's integrity or any sectors of the State.
Students of Khongjom Standard English School also formed human chain on road and protested.
An alert sit in protest was organised at Sofia English School and similar protest was taken up at Evergreen Flowers English School as well, reports our correspondent.
On the other hand, Thoubal District Transporter's Union  took up a protest demonstration in front of District Sports complex in Wangjing Kadompokpi.
Locals also formed a long line of human chain along the highway near Thoubal Bazar raising the same demand.
People of Kakching district led by All Kakching Students Union (AKSU) and Joint Non-Government Voluntary Organisation (JNGVO) Kakching blocked the NH-137A and formed human chain apart from demanding against any kind of impact in the State, its administration, socio-economy and cultural set up.
Women vendors of Kakching Keithel and shopkeepers participated in the rally.
Bishnupur: In support of the COCOMI's demand to disclose the peace talks agreement between India Govt and NSCN (IM) and the interest of Manipur cannot be compromised by the said agreement, public alert protests and meetings continued in different parts of Bishnupur today.
Human chain was formed from Moirang Leikai to Moirangkhunou Bazar as part of the protests followed by a public alert meeting at Moirang Konjengbam Leikai organized by Joint Committee On Manipur Integrity Moirang Sub-Division, an apex body formed by various Clubs, Organizations, Meira Paibi Lup, Nupi Lup in association with KEMKAL and MAMPIL.
Similar protests was also held at Moirang Bazar where women vendors, shopkeepers and many women folks took part in large numbers and formed human chain blocking half of the road.
Women folks, members of club, organization of Phiwangbam Leikai also staged alert protest raising slogans for the protection of territorial integrity of Manipur.
Meanwhile, similar public alert meetings were also staged at Moirang Thana Leikai, Moirang Sribon Leikai,     Kokilabon, Thoya Leikai Communty Hall, Moirangkhunou market etc, where the protestors formed human chain by blocking road halfway.
The protestors also tried to storm the residence of MLA Moirang AC P Sharatchandra Singh but were stopped by the security personnel posted at the gate. Later, 5 representatives were allowed to have a meeting with the MLA.
Placards which read as "We Strongly Oppose India’s Divisive Policy", "Bring Solution Not Problem", "No solution in favour of one community at the expense of other communities", "No Compromise For Territorial Integrity of Manipur", "Bring Peace Not Pieces" were used during the protests demonstration.
On the other hand, students of Advance Intermediate College Moirang took their protests on the street and formed human chain along Tiddim road at near 'Welcome to Moirang' post.
Students of Loyalam Public School, Moirangkhunou also formed human chain shouting slogans for the territorial integrity of Manipur while students of Bathel English School too formed human chain at Tiddim road at Nambol Chingmang.
In another incident, women protestors from Khoijuman stormed the residence of MLA Oinam AC L Radhakeshore who is also Chairman of Manipur Pollution Control Board.
The protesting women were later pacified by a Bishnupur police team led by OC Dinesh.
