Salai Taret Kangkhut emerge champions of 64th CC Meet Kang

IMPHAL, Dec 1 : Salai Taret Kangkhut emerged the champions of the 64th Sir Churachand Singh, KCSI CBE Open Kang Tournament-2019 organised by Teka Kangkhut under the supervision of Manipur Kang Association at Ereima Sanglen at Pishumthong Oinam Leikai.
Salai Taret claimed the title beating KLASA, Keinou by 26-25 margin in a keenly contest final match today.
The valedictory function of the tournament was graced by Health Minister, L Jayantakumar and L Radhakishore, MLA Oinam AC and Chairman of Manipur Pollution Control Board as dignitaries who also feted the winners, runners up and other teams and individuals.
Winners, Salai Taret Kangkhut walked away Rs 15,000 richer along with a trophy while runners up KLASA got a cash prize of Rs 10,000 along with a trophy donated by RK Tamphasana of Elangbam Leikai in memory of her father-in-law, E Deben.
Besides, Salai Taret's W Joy claimed best chekphei prize with 17 hits and his team mate W Premjit won the best lamtha with 14 hits and with another 8 chekfei hits in his name, Premjit was also named best player of the tournament. Th Romio was adjudged man of the series.
Third placed, Teka-B Kangkhut and KKCO were also feted along with two veteran teams, Singjamei Kangkhut and Yaiskul Kangkhut on the occasion.
